Junior Software Developer
Trust International Insurance Company (Cyprus) Ltd is looking to recruit a Junior Software Developer for full time employment in Nicosia, Head Offices. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team and have the opportunity, to develop all-round knowledge, experience and skills in business processes, support, management of our in-house and off-the-shelf software and also go through the complete cycle of systems development.
Detailed Duties
- Software development for insurance applications and other internal platforms
- Write clean, well designed and documented code
- Produce detailed business and technical specifications
- Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Test, troubleshoot and maintain systems to ensure business continuity, user efficiency and optimized system functionality
- Knowledge of industry best practices in software development methodologies
Requirements
- BSc/MSc degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related fields
- Software development experience in the following:
- PHP, Java (J2EE or Spring), HTML5, CSS3
- JavaScript + jQuery or Angular
- JSON, SOAP, XML, RESTful services, Web services development
- Software and web development frameworks (CodeIgniter, Laravel, Spring MVC)
- MySQL (knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle DB will be considered an advantage)
- Android and/or iOS development (Android Studio and XCode)
- Experience in source code version control management tools and best practices (Git or SVN)
- Excellent communication skills
- Working both individually and as part of a team
- Fluency in both Greek and English
