Investment & Actuarial Analyst

Trust International Insurance Company (Cyprus) Ltd is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Investment & Actuarial Analyst to support both the actuarial and investment functions of our organization. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the company by monitoring investment performance, supporting asset-liability management, and contributing to actuarial valuations and modeling. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance company financials, investment principles, and actuarial methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Analysis & Monitoring (50%):

Monitor and report on the performance of the company’s investment portfolio, including fixed income, equities, and alternative assets.
Conduct ongoing analysis of investment risks and returns, highlighting deviations from benchmarks and policy targets.
Prepare monthly and quarterly investment reports for senior management, board committees, and regulatory submissions.
Liaise with external asset managers and custodians on portfolio performance and compliance.
Support scenario testing and stress-testing on investment portfolios.
Evaluate macroeconomic trends and their impact on portfolio strategy.

Actuarial Analysis (50%):

Assist with actuarial reserving, pricing, and capital modeling for insurance products.
Support regulatory actuarial reporting requirements (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17, or local equivalents).
Perform data extraction, cleaning, and statistical analysis to support actuarial assumptions and models.
Collaborate with finance and underwriting teams to ensure actuarial inputs align with financial planning and forecasting.
Contribute to model validation, enhancement, and documentation processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Progress toward actuarial (e.g., ASA, FIA, FSA) or investment-related qualifications (e.g., CFA) strongly preferred.
2–5 years of relevant experience in insurance, asset management, or consulting.
Strong understanding of insurance investment portfolios and actuarial principles.
Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, R, Python).
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skilld and Attributes

Experience working in a regulated financial environment.
Familiarity with insurance regulatory frameworks (e.g., solvency capital, IFRS 17).
Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.
Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset.
