Trust Insurance Cyprus informs its customers that, effective July 1, 2026, an amendment to the Driving License Law will take effect, which applies to holders of student driving licenses in categories AM and A1.

According to the new amendment, riding a motorcycle with a learner’s permit for the above categories is prohibited, except in the following cases:

• for training purposes, under the supervision of a licensed driving instructor who is riding in another vehicle of the same class,
• during an examination to obtain a certificate of competence,
• as part of a training program involving the operation of a police, fire department, or National Guard vehicle.

This change is important for customers who have motorcycle insurance and hold a student driver's license in categories AM or A1.

Please inform yourselves accordingly and ensure that the vehicle is used in accordance with the new legal provisions.
